Usage Of Domestic Valve Industry Standards

Lined Valve products are widely used in petroleum, chemical, metallurgy, electricity, hydraulic, nuclear power, large-scale coal chemical and other industries. The total amount of valve products is increasing, valve technology is developing, and the application field of valves is expanding. The corresponding valve standards are becoming more and more important.

The adoption of standards in my country's valve industry

The adoption of international standards and foreign advanced standards is an important standardization policy in my country. Valve standards have also actively implemented this policy, and adopted a large number of international and foreign advanced standards in basic standards, method standards and product standards, which has improved the technical level of my country's valve standards.

(1) Adoption of international standards

It can be seen from the above table that most international standards have been converted into Chinese standards to varying degrees. However, some have not been converted yet, and some international standards are not in line with my country's national conditions and will not be converted.

(2) Adoption of foreign advanced standards

With the construction and implementation of key projects such as long-distance pipelines in my country, the relevant standards of the American Petroleum Institute are receiving more and more attention in my country. API is a non-profit organization representing the interests of the U.S. oil industry in exploration, development, storage, transportation, refining and marketing. The standards it has developed are widely adopted internationally. At present, 17 API valve standards have been converted or are being converted into my country's national standards and industry standards. In addition, in combination with the specific conditions of my country and foreign standards, my country's standards also adopt some standards of advanced countries and associations such as MSS, AWWA, ASME, BS, and JIS.

By adopting ISO and foreign advanced standards, my country's standard level has been greatly improved, narrowing the gap between valve products and foreign advanced products. For some conventional products, the quality not only reaches or even exceeds that of similar foreign products.
