1. Sealing principle of Lined Gate Valve

The sealing principle of wedge gate valve is to achieve sealing by the close combination of the two sealing surfaces on the wedge gate and the two sealing surfaces on the valve body when wedged. The purpose of using wedge gate is to increase the auxiliary sealing load so that the metal-sealed wedge gate valve can seal both high medium pressure and low medium pressure. When closing, rotate the valve stem clockwise to make the gate valve sealing surface and the valve body sealing surface close together to achieve sealing. However, the inlet sealing pressure of the metal-sealed wedge gate valve generated by the wedging action is often not enough to achieve the inlet sealing under the force of the medium, so the metal-sealed wedge gate valve is a single-sided forced seal.

2. Application of wedge gate valve

Among various types of valves, gate valve is the most widely used one. It is generally only suitable for full opening or full closing, and cannot be used for adjustment and throttling. Wedge gate valves are generally used in places where there are no strict requirements on the external dimensions of the valve and the use conditions are relatively harsh. If the working medium is high temperature and high pressure, the closing parts are required to ensure long-term sealing, etc.

Generally, wedge gate valves are recommended for use in conditions or requirements of reliable sealing performance, high pressure, high pressure cut-off (large pressure difference), low pressure cut-off (small pressure difference), low noise, cavitation and vaporization, high temperature medium, low temperature (deep cooling). Such as power industry, oil refining, petrochemical, offshore oil, tap water engineering and sewage treatment engineering in urban construction, chemical industry and other fields.
