Although the overall level of China's fluorine-lined valve industry has been greatly improved, the quality is still not stable enough. For example, running, bubbling, dripping, and leakage often occur in domestic fluorine-lined valves. In addition, China's fluorine-lined valve supporting capacity is still somewhat behind that of developed countries. The fluorine-lined valve market is highly competitive, and the market for some low-end fluorine-lined valve products has become saturated, with a situation of oversupply, which makes it increasingly difficult for small and medium-sized enterprises to develop.
Even products with relatively high technical content are also very competitive in the international market. At present, China can already provide a variety of products in the fluorine-lined valve market: such as heating valves, environmental protection valves, and fluorine-lined valves for construction. However, in the field of high-end fluorine-lined valves, it still relies on imports. This is also the field where China's fluorine-lined valves need to make breakthroughs in the future to truly promote the development of China's fluorine-lined valve industry.
But since last year, the localization of high-end fluorine-lined valves has become difficult. At present, basic parts have become a shortcoming that restricts the development of domestic manufacturing industry towards high-end development. During the 12th Five-Year Plan period, China will further increase its efforts to localize high-end equipment parts. The feasibility of import substitution of fluorine-lined valves in various sub-industries in China varies greatly, and high-end fluorine-lined valves urgently need more policy guidance and scientific research support.
Facing the situation where the transformation and upgrading of the fluorine-lined valve industry has not achieved significant results, there are many reasons. One of them is related to our past practices. We focused on product development, but not on market research and industrialization. To be more specific, we focused on technology, not on craftsmanship, and development, not on industrialization. Our products look very good and advanced on the surface, and they can achieve advanced functions and performance indicators, but they break down after being used by users for a short time. Or the product itself can be used, but the manufacturing cost is very high and lacks market competitiveness. Of course, the emergence of this situation is also related to our policy orientation. We have always paid more attention to results, first solving the problem of having and not having, filling many gaps, but failed to pay attention to bringing the results to the market and forming industrialization.
