My Country's Valve Companies Need To Improve Valve Quality
At present, there are about 6,000 Lined Valve enterprises in my country, of which 900 have an annual output value of more than 5 million yuan. These enterprises, whether in terms of scale or product quality, are currently unable to compete with similar foreign enterprises. At present, about 10% of the valve industry in my country is occupied by foreign enterprises. Relevant personnel from the Valve Branch of the China General Machinery Industry Association believe that to change this situation, improving valve quality is the key.
Valves account for a considerable proportion of mechanical products. According to statistics from foreign industrialized countries, the output value of valves is the sum of compressors, fans and pumps, accounting for about 5% of the output value of the entire machinery industry. At the same time, as an important part of major technical equipment, especially in power, petrochemical, metallurgy, and urban water supply and drainage systems, valves play a key role and are used in large quantities.
According to expert analysis, there are two main reasons for the current passive valve market in my country: first, there is still a gap between domestic valve products and imported products, and the quality needs to be improved; second, some users have a weak sense of localization, and even artificially set thresholds, making it difficult for domestic enterprises to win bids when bidding with foreign enterprises.
The various valves currently produced by Chinese enterprises generally have shortcomings such as external leakage, internal leakage, poor appearance quality, short life, inflexible operation, and unreliable valve electric and pneumatic devices. Some products are only equivalent to the international level of the early 1980s. Therefore, the development of the valve industry urgently needs to develop new products with high technical content.
Related experts require that the valve industry should vigorously adopt international standards and foreign advanced standards, strictly implement existing national standards, reform existing products, and make the updated products reach the international level of the 1990s. At the same time, the valve industry should take effective measures in the selection of raw materials, casting process, forging process, heat treatment and other links of castings and forgings, so that the internal quality and appearance quality of castings and forgings can reach the international level.
On the other hand, we should continue to carry out internal and external leakage research, strictly control mechanical processing technology, vigorously promote new sealing materials, improve the processing accuracy of key parts of products, extend the service life of products, and fundamentally improve the phenomenon of "one short and two leaks" of valves.
Looking at the domestic valve market, the valve industry has a wide range of development space. According to the prediction of relevant experts, the future market of valves will mainly be in the power industry, petrochemical industry, fertilizer, environmental protection and urban construction industries. They assert that whoever has good technology, excellent quality and can continuously develop new products will be able to seize the initiative and stand out in the fierce market competition.
