Fluorine-lined Valve Material Modification Technology
Lined Valve refers to a valve with fluoroplastic lining. However, some fluoroplastics have some defects. Therefore, relevant scholars have studied the use of modification to improve the performance of these fluoroplastics to expand the application range of fluoroplastics. Fluoroplastic modification mainly involves compounding fluoroplastics with other materials to change their crystal structure or changing the structure of fluoroplastic chemical molecules through physical and chemical methods. The main modification methods include surface modification, filling modification, blending modification, etc.
1. Surface modification. Surface modification mainly replaces fluorine atoms on the surface of fluoroplastics with some polar groups through chemical or physical methods to improve the surface properties of the material. Surface modification methods generally include radiation grafting, chemical treatment, laser treatment, high temperature melting, electrolytic reduction and plasma treatment. Surface modification can effectively improve the wear resistance, super hydrophobicity and radiation resistance of fluoroplastics, and effectively expand the application range of fluoroplastics.
2. Filling modification. Filling modification is a simple and effective modification method for fluoroplastics. By adding fillers to the fluoroplastic matrix, the crystal structure of fluoroplastics is changed, thereby improving and overcoming the original defects of fluoroplastics. Common fillers for fluoroplastics include metals and metal oxides, inorganic materials and organic materials. The performance of the material after filling modification is related to the type, content and filling process of the filler. Filling modification can effectively improve the hardness, thermal stability, tensile strength and wear resistance of the material, while reducing the expansion coefficient and shrinkage rate of the material.
3. Blending modification. Blending modification is to mix fluorine materials with another one or more polymers to make a composite material that is evenly distributed on a macro scale. The performance of the material after blending modification mainly depends on the performance, content and blending process of the blended materials. Blending modification can improve the thermal stability and fluidity of fluoroplastics.
