Lined Ball Valve Basic knowledge and precautions for use:

(Stainless steel) ball valves and plug valves belong to the same type of valves. The difference is that the opening and closing part of the ball valve is a sphere with a through hole. This sphere rotates around the center line of the valve stem to achieve the purpose of opening and closing.

Basic characteristics of ball valves: Ball valves are relatively simple in structure, simple in operation, and stable in working condition. They are generally used in two-phase flow medium pipelines with small flow resistance and good sealing.

Precautions for ball valves:
1. For the method with a handle, the operating handle is perpendicular to the flow direction of the medium when the valve is closed, and it is consistent with the flow direction of the medium when the valve is open;

2. The insulation ball valve needs to pay attention to:
The valve can only be opened or closed after the medium melts; it cannot be forcibly closed or opened to avoid safety hazards.

The ball valve consists of three major parts: valve body, opening and closing mechanism, and valve cover. It has the following three functions: opening and closing, regulating, and throttling.

The main parameters of the ball valve are temperature range (temperature of the medium passing through the ball valve), nominal pressure (the maximum pressure that the ball valve can withstand), and nominal diameter.

Common problems in the use of ball valves
Flange and thread leakage (caused by poor sealing); ball valve stem cannot be operated (opening and closing obstacles); internal leakage formed by the ball valve core and the ball valve seat.
